Inside Hollywood’s Doc Johnson factory you’ll see plenty of realistic copper-finished moulds of penises, vaginas and anuses.

Do you know how they are made, why do they look so realistic? That’s because many of them have been cast from the body parts of genuine porn stars.

The replica todgers are poured into the mould and cooled in water

Then are dipped in colours made from food dyes for skin tones or a more fantastical look.

The large manpower in factory, mostly Hispanic women, paint everything with precision.

The veiny penis detail and faux public hair sewed into the genitalia are completed by hand to maximise your experience *giggity*

Sculptors and constantly coming up with new tantalising designs in the Doc Johnson chemistry lab.

And there’s a completely separate department for all the high-grade silicone – we’re talking butt plugs.

The factory has a high demand for masturbators modelled on porn legend Sasha Grey, the Pocket Rocket and the Rabbit vibrator (made famous by Sex and the City).

But these aren’t thrown out like sausages on an assembly line, a sculptor will spend two days to a week on each mould.

An employee who has been with the company for 20 years takes inspiration from photographers, everyday objects and her own imagination.

More than 70% of the sex toy industry is based in China, but the vast majority of Doc Johnson’s 2,500 line is manufactured onsite in north Hollywood.

Ron Braverman, 69, opened for business in Los Angeles in 1976.

Now with a 500-plus workforce, the company makes 75,000 sex toys a week.

It’s a $15 billion-a-year market in the US alone.( woow 😱)

Braverman said: ‘People do a lot more research today about what they want and how they want to use it.

‘Today I think we’ve moved ahead in America as they have in many other countries and they’ve gotten to the point where they understand that this is a natural part of life.’
